i never really thought about it? our eyes are different colours when we're human too i didn't think it meant anything

Every colour has a meaning. Alphas always have red. Betas are meant to be yellow.

Peter has blue as well.

Derek has this habit of talking like he expects Scott to know everything about werewolves already, but the truth is this has only been part of his life for a few months. He hasn't grown up with it. So much of it is still news to him, and he's always playing catch up. ]

It happened a while ago. I was around your age when it happened.

For what it's worth, I didn't go out and attack a random civilian one night.

I made a terrible decision and things escalated from there. It won't happen again.

[ There's a break between texts, while Scott thinks about it. He's not okay with killing. He's not. Nothing is simple anymore. Derek regrets this, that's clear enough. But he's still talking about murder, a murder that most likely no one ever caught him for. ]
